Nicholas Cohen

Principal / Founder

Fifteen years of trading equity derivatives drew Nick into the world of obsessively following news, especially surrounding government policy. The post-crisis years tested his views on economics and fiscal policy in the real world. Debates during the passage of the Affordable Care Act caused him to dive deeply into health economics. Without any formal training or experience, he had learned some truths about the complex world we live in. He had never seriously considered tell others about what he had learn, until one day he accidentally launched the LobbySeven Commentary.

In the Commentary, each article attempts to take readers through a complete subject, no matter their level of knowledge at the start. Through carefully sourced research from primary and secondary sources, he mixes hard evidence with his personal opinions of what works and what doesn't.

He received a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics (Theoretical) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2002.
